New videos, Create profits and New Brands!
Under The Ledge Weekly Email Newsletter Week 26
Hi all, if you’re wondering about the new look, I’ve switched from Mailchimp to Substack which are both programs for creating Newsletters. I switched to this as it’s a lot easier to use and (in my opinion) it looks better. Anyway, let’s get on with this week’s Newsletter.
Sony A7SIII vs Panasonic GH5 - Time to UPGRADE?
Create Merch is DONE!
Thanks to everyone who bought from the CREATE drop that happened between the 1st - 14th, 100% of Profits are going to be donated to Mary’s Meals, which is a non-profit charity, helping feed and educate children in developing countries. And now for the big reveal, how much profit did we make for charity… We made £35.77 ($49.41), and all of this is going to charity so THANKS to everyone who bought from the collection. Oh, by the way, the creator of the design squiggle David Newman, actually bought some products from the collection so cheers to him! More drops coming soon.
New Clothing Brand?
Okay, so don’t think that the Under The Ledge Merch is going anywhere, but I’m currently trying to start a new brand. A clothing brand. This is something that we are currently researching, contacting people about and spending a lot of time and thought on, so I’ll let you know if we get any progress on that soon!
Instagram is no longer a photo-sharing app.
Earlier this week, Adam Mosseri - The head of Instagram, announced that “Changes are coming to video on Instagram”. This is huge for creators, in some ways for the better and in other ways for the worse.
This week, Chris Hau put out a video about why Instagram isn’t paying its Creators, hopefully, this is a step in the right direction to paying creators for the work that they do.
